The Rollercoaster Ride

Life is a Rollercoaster was a sentence I had just heard of but never felt it I met with an accident. I’m an 18yrs old lad hailing from Agra to Chitkara University to pursue my degree in Journalism. Full of life, active and very entertaining as I was and still try to be. Life was going well or Was experienced upper phase of rollercoaster ride. On 13 October 2019,( a day very well captured in my mind) I was playing cricket with my friends in Beta Zone of my Chitkara University, wherein while playing I met with an accident. Was attributing it to be a small injury but when pain didn’t went I was taken Neelam Hospital( which was exactly opposite to my University). Who knew it would turn to be such a major one accident got me the internal injury and I suffered from internal bleeding and 70 % liver got damaged. My parents were called for, and little only I remember I was shifted to SPS Hospital, Ludhiana, as those doctors said that I was critical and they couldn’t do anything. On very first day of admit to SPS I underwent a surgery which stopped the bleeding but struggle wasn’t over yet. Complications were not stopping on my way. Due to internal bleeding the blood stuck in my stomach which led to its fullness, the I underwent my second surgery everybody including me thought that I am fine now ,but no no no, still in ICU, with no power to breathe as now I had a problem of Pneumonia even these doctors didn’t took guaranteed now. All of sudden the entire world shook for my parents. Now this Time I was injected with vacuum pipe. For entire 5days I was not able to speak which even led to a change in my voice. Keeping me under observation for 2 days . I was finally shifted to private ward I still remember those dusky days and my mood swings which actually irked everybody.

We always tend to overlook the fact that we should be happy with what god has given us. I am really thankful to God, my friends and family who stood with me through this difficult phase of my life . It actually taught me a lot many things. Never take anything for granted and enjoy every moment of life.
