JHUMTA KUKKAD

You must have tried many mouth watering dishes but have you ever tried a non vegetarian dish like this?  An eye catchy hot ’n’ sour ‘Jhumta Kukkad’ translating to Drunken Rooster, an exotic chicken dish cooked in rum.

So day before yesterday, I went to Brew Waves which is located in VR Punjab mall, Mohali. I was enjoying the band night and then my eyes went to a different kind of dish, a dish which was presented with ablazing fire. So being a foodie, I couldn’t stop myself to taste the dish. So I ordered the same.  I really liked the concept of presenting the dish with fire over it and I really appreciate this wonderful creativity to make the dish eye catchy. When it was presented before me it was looking so hot ‘n’ crispy and my mouth began to water and when I tasted it, it was really finger licking good and yummy. 

At that time I thought it would be my next blog post so I asked the chef about the ingredients of the dish and he told me that he used very simple ingredients like pieces of chicken, spices, lemon, onions and fire and rum to make it more attractive. 

At first instance many people believed it to be harmful for health. But no, its not true. This dish is not harmful in anyway because the little rum poured over it was just to catch the fire and fire vanishes the rum and makes the dish more crispy. 

It is a must try dish for all the chicken lovers.
