what can be a better way to stay cool during summer than a bowl full of fruits ? Full of nutrition and easy to make salads should be our top most priority for this summer season. The summer season is here, the temperatures heat up and the days get longer. The frustration tends to gets increase in people amid the summer season and specially during this time when we are not feeling ecstatic due to the ongoing outbreak of pandemic corona virus, which seems to have no end.
nevertheless nothing is better than a bowl full of fresh fruits which are full of nutrients and can definitely curb your frustration and anxiety. Summer season is here and whats the best part of the season ? The flavors of my favorite fruit Mangoes…Ahh….Summer fruits like Peach, Apricot, Watermelon, Muskmelon, Apples, Mangoes, Litchi etc have tremendous health benefits. They give you energy and nutrients which our body requires, helps you to cool down and keep you hydrated. They have been found to be effective in treating and preventing a variety of health conditions. Fruits have also helped patients all over the world to loose weight and lower bad cholesterol levels and yes contrary to the belief fruits can reduce the risk of developing diabetes. Fruits are naturally sweet , they don’t have added sugar and you can enjoy them in lot so many ways-smoothie, salad, dessert or even in your fruit punch mokctail or shakes.

to mention that most fruits are available all year long but its much better to eat fruits that are in season that are usually fresher, tastier and contains more nutrients. Think for a moment about the joy of biting a fresh, ripe and juicy peach and plum. This gives a different aura and makes you feel connected with nature. More so seasoned fruits have higher levels of antioxidants in them. Even I tried to make a fruit salad, which actually takes no efforts. All you need is a bowl and freshly chopped fruits of your choice in it. Add some lime syrup or honey according to your taste if you want. Then store it in refrigerator and ting your fruit salad is ready to eat.
Some of the best hydrating fruits that were added in my salad were:
Watermelons: With its bold color and juicy taste watermelon is quintessential summer fruit. This fruit has its origin in Africa and its season lasts from May through September. It is important for eye health and boosts immunity. It also has the power to prevent cancer and lowers your blood pressure.
Mangoes: The king of fruits have versatile health benefits. it has lots of fibers and vitamins and is really good for digestion as well. They are excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin C . When you eat mango you will get benefit of antioxidant zeaxanthin which helps to protect our eyes. These are very sweet and attract us with their sun colored apperance.
Plum: They might be one of the first fruits domesticated by humans. they too have incredible benefits . They have the power to treat constipation and diabetes. They may help prevent cancer, heart diseases, makes our bones strong and has an ultimate power o improve cognitive health.
With their vibrant colors, tastes and their abundant nutritional values, now is the time to enjoy summer fruits.
