HONEST REVIEW
I’ve watched the series five times now. In short: it’s pretty good. Story: I hadn’t read the books when I watched It. The way George RR Martin has written this thing, I am sure he has one of the most creative mind in today’s world.I got so hooked to this series that it took me many days to finish it till the last episode. When I first started watching the series,I watched the entire 15-16 episodes with just one break. After every episode, I would start the next and tell myself, “Just one more and then I will go to sleep. Promise!” While watching you will fall in love with many characters.According to me you might get lost and lose interest mid-way if you have not read the novels. You will love to hate it when the most lovable characters die all of a sudden.I felt very bad when they killed Ned stark in season 1. You will love it for all the magic that is about to be unleashed very soon. And you will love it for its quotes as some are very motivational also like this one:“Never forget who you are, for surely the world won’t. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness.
GRRM’s WORK:
George Raymond Richard Martin also known as GRRM. First and foremost: the source material. The books are what make the show possible. And it’s all thanks to this guy. He’s a bit slow, but is worth the wait. The interesting thing about the play is their plot and unpredictablity.
THE HIGHEST BUDGET:
Series shows its by own how good graphics has been used while making this series. The absurd amount of money that HBO puts into the show seems to pay off. Most directing, acting, visual effects, etc, make it great. Game of Thrones would be far less addictive if the budget couldn’t stretch to show the dragons, for example.
MUSIC:
The music for the series was composed by Ramin Djawadi .I personally loved the music used in this series. There hasn’t been an episode that I watched without listening to the starting theme music. The music just amplifies the whole experience. It is that good! For dragon screams, mating tortoises, dolphin, seal, lion and bird sounds have been used.
THE LOCATIONS
The numerous places where GoT is shot are beautiful. Its just feel like you also want to go there like Dubrovnik, Belfast, Iceland and more make the show stunning, just visually alone. Computer made castles help a bit though.

THE CHARACTERS
If there’s anything you can say about Game of Thrones, is that there is an abundance of characters. Most characters are complex and diligent thought out in their portrayal. A big part of GRRM’s work is that none of his characters are black and white. There’s always something that keeps you interested, and them imperfect. Ned stark was a great man! And so was Robert, just a little Messy. Robb was a man with a great potential and John snow, a man of his principles. Yggrite may be a wildling, but she is one hell of an archer, and Arya is just too smart for her own good. Cercei may be cunning, but she does know how to turn things in her favor. Ser Jamie, the kingslayer, you had my respect the day you didn’t kill Ned Stark. That’s a list of some of the great characters and it didn’t even have Tyrion Lannister and Danerys for I thought I might get carried away if I put their names. Unlike most of the other stories which have one main character and a few other “main” side-characters, Game of Thrones has many characters most of whom are simply awesome.
TIMING:
They know exactly what to show in which episode and when to end it.They will put you in doubt that what will happen next. You always end up wanting more and feeling shocked. Did he actually die? is one question that comes to my mind in more or less every episode, he being fo a different person in most of them.
OVERALL:
Like any show, GOT has its issues. A lot. But every show has some flaws. However, it does stand out drastically compared to other shows. If you ask me Is it the best show in the history or television? I would say rather no. Is it the worst? Certainly not. It’s still engaging, complex, fascinating and enigmatic and make you bind with the story. I’d still call it my favourite show, but hesitate to say it’s flawless like so many fans do.I know many of my friends are just crazy about this show, but i still stand by the commonly stated opinion: the books are better. So without giving any plot away, I’d thoroughly recommend you all watching it. Get a box set, because you will want to binge-watch once you start. The way the characters start and develop through the series is really satisfying. I liked all characters has just played their role so well. There are a multitude of twists, turns and shockers, and gore content. It’s a masterpiece of high quality, brilliant TV production and is there for our consumption and joy!
