Army Cantt also lockdown!

Chandigarh’s N Area HQ is also under curfew . Army personnel are not allowed to go out and also their families are said to be in the house. One of the Army person who is Subedar Umed Singh said that all of them were first tested for COVID-19 and then they were told to be in self quarantine. Civilans are also not allowed inside the Army Area and nobody can go out from the main gate.

All the person who had gone for holiday (i.e., chutti) at their hometown are said to extend their time of holidays till 15 April. Hav. Manoj Kumar said he was told to extend his holdiays before the PM Narendera modi announces the lockdown till 15 April.

All the families were said to make the list of all the grocery item and one common vehicle for all of the persons in the Cantt area was gone to buy that for all and also the same was distributed to them. The Unit Run Canteen were also closed but it was opened for the army persons for one day so that they can buy the essentials till the lockdown continues. Even the dudh wala comes inside only with the permission of N Area Commander that also one time in two days .

Nobody is allowed to walk on the road till the curfew is continued. The military police is everywhere on the roads of the cantt area. If someone has the emergency of going out from the cantt is allowed only if he has the permission of N Area Commander . no one either that is someones relative or friend is allowed inside the Cantt area.
